Windsurfer LT ex Charter Complete Board and Rig

A limited number of boards are available for sale that have been chartered out previously. This is a complete board and rig, ready to sail away, the same as for new boards, ie including: the hull, centre board, power box, fin, universal joint, mast cup, 2 piece mast, adjustable boom, uphaul and sail trim lines.

The Windsurfer LT is the new replacement to the original Windsurfer. This aboard is wider, lighter, and higher volume than the original. It is much faster as well . The board is ideal for One Design racing, all around cruising, and entry level use . It also carries over well to SUP use. The Windsurfer LT keeps all of the fun of the original board but with many modern improvements like a full EVA deck, a modern daggerboard and power box fin, and light stiff construction with EPS core with fiberglass and epoxy construction.

This board makes windsurfing easy, accessible, and fun for the whole family again!  A wide stable platform for learning, minimal rocker for excellent cruising speed, and friendly technical one-design racing all in a single package. Whether you are a seasoned windsurfer or just getting into the sport the Windsurfer Class is an idea way to practice and improve your sailing in a fun and social community. The equipment is simple. The official 5.7m sail is suitable for almost all sailors in most racing conditions and it´s simple rigging parts make assembly significantly easier than most modern racing equipment.

To withstand rough handling by beginners and have a long competitive life too, the board is made with COBRA’s single shot AST construction technology. A lightweight EPS core is carefully encapsulated with varying weights of chopped strand fibre glass, open structure combi mats and a foaming epoxy resin system then cured in a vacuum closed mould. Despite being built for longevity, the new board’s light weight gives excellent performance and keeps it easy to handle. A white paint topcoat is applied after final finishing, with graphics, EVA soft foam deck and other fittings. By using an epoxy foam with a large bio-based carbon content, the board has a significantly lower environmental impact vs the original one.
