Staged at the beautiful Fergusson Park, the event began with free windsurf lessons. There was a Windsurfer LT class board available for people to test sail.
The event was primarily a downwind slalom regatta using a cumulative points system. The first start was for Wing Foils and the second start was for Wind foil and fin windsurfing boards.
The fin windsurfing category had 13 participants with different types of boards. Three raced with Windsurfer LT, the three years reigning champion Claudio Barbuzza, Bruce Kendall, and Doug Ferguson.
Eight races were completed. During the first few races the wind was around 12 knots, picking up to up to 16 knots in the last 4 races. In the first race, Bruce took the second place overall, with the standard 5.7 m2 rig out of all the foiling boards and windsurfers with unlimited sail sizes. He was followed by Doug and Claudio.
The last and windiest races saw the Windsurfer LT boards finish closer to the Unlimited Windsurfing boards including foiling boards and saw the Windsurfer LT sailors passing wing foiling sailors.
